1. Sender preserves email

Step i:
Similar to your everyday Gmail usage, first compose a new email; then simply press the "Send & Preserve" button, located to the right of the standard Send button.

Step ii:
Once the "Upload to blockchain?" message appears, press Confirm (Cancel button will take you back to the original page)

Step iii:
The system will automatically generate a digital fingerprint (Hash value) and upload it to blockchain

Step iv:
Upon successful upload, a summary page appears showing information like the timestamp, digital fingerprint (Hash value), and usage deduction amount. And that's it: Preserving your email can be as simple as that~!


2. Recipient verifies email

2-1: Recipient has not installed the ChkSender extension

Step i: Once the recipient opens the email, a ChkSender clickable Verification seal shown within the email text

Step ii: Click on the Verification seal to view email's sender certificate and ChkSender's basic Verification information


2-2: Recipient has already installed the ChkSender extension

Step i:
As soon as the recipient opens the email, must first make sure it contains the clickable verification seal or the "Verify Email" button located on screen's upper right side
(if not, must try restarting the Chrome browser or be sure the extension is turned on)

Step ii:
Press any of the above-mentioned Verification clickable items to view verification's basic result and the comparison information among before- and after- message(s); this allows the recipient to verify whether the content of the email is safe or not


3. Sender encrypts email

Step i:
Similar to your everyday Gmail usage, first compose a new email; then simply press the "Send & Encrypt" button, located to the right of standard Send button.

Step ii:
Once "Enter encryption password" appears, enter a password containing 6-12 letter and numbers; then click Submit
(Cancel button will take you back to the original page)

Step iii:
The system consequently encrypts and sends the message


4. Recipient decrypts email

4-1: Recipient has not installed the ChkSender extension

Step i:
Once the recipient opens the email, a ChkSender clickable Encrypted seal shown within the email text

Step ii:
Click the Encrypted seal to view email's basic information. If you would like to decrypt and view the message's details, you must first download and install ChkSender browser extension at Chrome Web Store and then sign up and login at Sign Up & Login, before being able to do decryption


4-2: Recipient has already installed the ChkSender extension

Step i:
As soon as the recipient opens the email, must first make sure it contains the clickable Encrypted seal or the "Verify Email" button located on screen's upper right side
(if not, must try restarting the Chrome browser or be sure the extension is turned on)

Step ii:
Click "Verify Email" button to view email's basic information; if you would like to decrypt and view the email's details, must first enter the password set by the sender


5. Add email to Blacklist/Whitelist

Step i:
Once the recipient opens the email, a "Verify Email" button shows on the message's top right

Step ii:
Click the "Verify Email" button to open the verified email's content

Step iii:
Click "Add To Blacklist" or "Add To Whitelist" button to add the sender email's origin to the blacklist or whitelist


6. Delete email from Blacklist/Whitelist

Step i:
Open ChkSender browser extension installed in Chrome and login, then Click on “My Lists” button.

Step ii:
Enter the Blacklist or Whitelist screen, then press the "Delete” button, located at the rightmost of the list to remove the email address/ domain from Blacklist or Whitelist.


7. Upload Lists

Step i:
Open ChkSender browser extension installed in Chrome, simply click on “Upload Lists” button.


8. Whitelist/ Blacklist Order of Precedence

Step i:
Personal Whitelist > Personal Blacklist > System Whitelist > System Blacklist
